It continues conquest in the priest’s building EKPAin the Propylaea, as a result of which the rector’s leadership of the VCPA issued a corresponding message, where, among other things, it is indicated that the question “can’t be resolved from our university.
ECPA Council of Rectors announcement
“The Council of Rectors of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens reports the continued occupation of the Foundation’s central building by non-university persons and problems that cannot be solved by our university.
The functioning of the Central Building of the University of Athens is crucial for the smooth operation of the Foundation in administrative matters, the activities of the Technical Council and the Central Protocol, especially in the field of student affairs, student oaths, international relations and exchanges between universities.
Acting institutionally and prudently from the first moment of the occupation, we have constantly condemned this action and strongly demand the immediate transfer of the building to the University community so that the normal administrative and academic functioning of the Institution can be restored.
The Council of Rectors also condemns verbal abuse and attacks on the head of the philosophy department. The demand for the resignation of the President, elected in accordance with established democratic procedures, is absolutely unacceptable.
The protection of democratic processes and academic freedom of expression, as well as the unhindered movement of all within the territory of our University, are non-negotiable.”
