Naomi Osaka wants to win more Grand Slams

In an interview with WBS Japan, the US Open (2018, 2020) and Australian Open (2019, 2021) champion talked about the goal she wants to achieve when she returns to the court.

“Undoubtedly, it is clear to me that I will return. Those months of absence made me come to terms with tennis and really love the sport that I have dedicated my whole life to.

It’s a bit of a break, but I still feel very competitive, I want to win more Grand Slams and I dream of doing it in front of my child. I intend to return to the track in 2024″ – Naomi Osaka.

Naomi Osaka and her boyfriend, rapper Korde, were first spotted together at a Los Angeles Clippers basketball game in 2019.

The Japanese first climbed to the top of the world ranking on January 28, 2019 and spent a total of 25 weeks at the top of the WTA rankings.

Now Naomi is ranked 69th in the world. She has not played in a world tournament since late September 2022, when she withdrew from the tournament in Tokyo before her match against Beatrice Haddad Maia. At the time, Osaka blamed an abdominal muscle injury.

Despite being away from tennis for many months and only playing 23 matches (14 wins and 9 losses) last season, Naomi Osaka is doing very well when it comes to earning. Nippon leads the list of the highest paid female athletes in the world in 2022 with earnings of 51 million dollars.
