Special Appellate Investigator Contracted stationmaster apologizes today, Monday who was on a day shift at Larissa station on the day of the fatal tragedy of the Tempi train.

Another station chief, who is also a staff member of the OPS, will appear before the investigator tomorrow, Tuesday, March 28. At the same time, the traffic police inspector is expected to apologize next week.

It is worth noting that those involved are charged with violation of traffic rules, murder and serial infliction of bodily harm through negligence.

According to what has come to light, the contract worker is expected to claim that his shift ended at 10:00 pm and that he left at 10:15 pm, as he is not entitled to overtime.

On Tuesday, March 28, the oldest head of the station, the one whose shift ended at 11 p.m., but supposedly left earlier, will walk through the door of the special conscription investigator.

He seems to claim that his shift ended at 23:00, but even if he had stayed there until 11, he could not have done anything to prevent the tragedy, since train 62 arrived at the Larissa station at 11:02 evenings.

The following Thursday, March 30, an apology follows from the inspector, who is expected to state that he asked for two people per shift and until 23:00. The inspector’s apology will be presented in an 80-page memorandum.
