Bayern Munich are on the verge of firing Julian Nagelsmann after the poor results of the last period in the championship. The German champions lost their last Bundesliga match at Leverkusen and are currently 2nd behind Borussia Dortmund.

BILD newspaper reports that Bayern Munich have fired coach Julian Nagelsmann.

Bayern, who are through to the quarter-finals of the Champions League where they will face Manchester City in a two-legged tie, have not had a great run in the league, sitting in second place, one point behind Borussia Dortmund.

They will meet on April 1 in Munich, but it seems that the management of the German champions have run out of patience with Julian Nagelsmann.

Having suffered a defeat in the last match against Leverkusen (2-1), Julian Nagelsmann blamed people inside the club, saying that they had disturbed the atmosphere in the dressing room with certain “leaks”.

The big favorite to replace Julian Nagelsmann is Thomas Tuchel, the German coach who is out of contract after breaking with Chelsea.
