
Two men arrested in the Pella areas for illegal possession of weapons, ammunition, explosives and standard military materials have turned their houses and cars into an arsenal.
These are Greek women aged 56 and 63 years old, against whom a criminal case was initiated on offenses “Production and storage of explosive and incendiary materials”, violation of the Law on “Regulation of Issues Concerning Weapons, Ammunition, Explosive Materials, Explosives”. mechanisms and other provisions” and violation of the Legislation regarding “Digital Management – Electronic Communications and other provisions”.
In particular, in the course of the operation, officers of the Prosecutor’s Office for Extortion of the Security Directorate of Thessaloniki identified a 56-year-old man on Wednesday morning, and after a search was carried out in two ICHE vehicles belonging to him, as well as in three houses, of use, the following were found and confiscated:
- 1 stun gun with a cartridge in the chamber,
- 1 folding knife,
- 1 pair of bats connected by a chain (nunchaku),
- 1 stable analog RF transceiver with micro speaker (click),
- 1 gun with 2 hunting cartridges in the chamber, for which he has the appropriate permission, but in violation of the conditions for safe storage and transportation within residential areas,
- 1, which will be sent for further laboratory examination, since the listed manufacturer’s data do not correspond to the details of the relevant license.
- 1 battle rifle and (1) scoped rifle,
- 1 gas gun
- 1 sword
- 5 magazines of different types,
- 113 cartridges (various calibers, types and manufacturers, hunting and non-bullet),
- 3 ampoules of carbon dioxide,
- 14 firecrackers (fired from a blaster),
- 4 flares (fired from a blaster)
- 2 portable transceivers and
- 5 regular detonators
Then on the same day, the police also located the 63-year-old man, who was found to have and confiscated:
- 12 conventional detonators, of which 10 are oxidized,
- 1 plastic bottle with a shotgun shell with a detonator and gunpowder,
- 11 knives of which (1) folding,
- 3 cylindrical vials containing (9) normal detonators,
- 1 slow burning fire rope,
- The number of containers, vials, micropackages containing the number of unknown mixtures to be sent for further investigation
- 7 long gun barrels, five (5) of which are breech
- 4 long butts,
- 1 long bolt mechanism,
- 2 long sights, of which (1) type “RED DOT”
- 1 gun barrel,
- 1 cannabis belt containing (31) military rifle cartridges of unknown caliber,
- 701 rounds (long barrel, shotgun, shotgun, blank, clicker),
- 323 shotgun shells,
- 1 shotgun belonging to another person,
- 1 rotary grinder,
- 30 magazines
- 1 stun gun with a magazine for one (1) cartridge,
- 1 handgun with ten (10) rounds that has been carefully hidden in the refrigerator freezer,
- 1 homemade modified firearm with a pistol grip, trigger and long barrel, with one (1) round in the chamber,
- 3 bayonets,
- 2 oxidized grenades and
- 2 oxidized mortar rounds
The confiscated military materials (oxidized mortar shells and oxidized grenades) were transferred to the competent workshop of the demining battalion.
Those arrested, against whom a criminal case has been initiated, will be taken to the District Attorney of Edessa.
