Four arrested for a knife attack near the Court of Appeal of Athens were taken to the prosecutor’s office. As a result, a 24-year-old man was injured.
They were prosecuted for crimes such as attempted co-murder, illegal possession of a weapon, violation of sports laws regarding special possession of weapons, and conspicuous disorderly conduct.
The detainees have been referred to the investigator and are expected to ask for a deadline for preparing their apologies.
Motives for the attack
As it became known yesterday on Wednesday (22.03), the motives for the attack were fan-made.
According to EL.AS, it all happened at around 11:00 am, when, during the development of a criminal case with a fan base, a group of about 20 people, moving along a neighboring street, attacked two men, injuring one of them with a sharp object.
Police forces immediately intervened and dispersed the attackers with chemicals and then administered first aid to the injured, who were taken to the hospital.
During searches in a wider area, on a nearby street, DIAS officers found a car with four people. During a search inside the car, poles, hoods and other items were found and seized.
