During the detention of two sons and a son-in-law of a 37-year-old for killing a 45-year-old at his home in Xanthi authorities continued.

The murder took place in the early hours of Sunday (19 March) in Drosero Xanthi, when four people, a father with two sons and a son-in-law, came to the victim’s house and after an argument over personal differences, the 46-year-old was shot and seriously injured.

He was then taken to the Xanthi hospital, severely wounded and died after surgery at 5:00 am.

After the murder, the 37-year-old man posted a video on TikTok in which he showed no remorse for his act and threatened, saying: “If you harm me, if you harm my family, and in 40 years I will kill you all.” Then he was arrested by the police, as was one of his sons, and today his other son and son-in-law were discovered and arrested.

According to police sources, a version is being considered that a violation of the agreement on the imminent marriage of the 37-year-old son to the 15-year-old granddaughter of the victim played a role in the murder. A scenario is also considered, according to which the offender thought that the victim had turned him in to the authorities for some crimes he had committed and wanted to take revenge on him.

It should be noted here that, according to EL.AS., the 37-year-old man was a past concern of the authorities, as he was recently arrested by the police after a large-scale operation in Drosero, while weapons and drugs were found on him.
