The Oko design bureau, which developed the Privet-82 kamikaze drone, specializes in creating super-economical multi-purpose aircraft without a pilot on board, TASS notes.

A new drone developed by the Russians has reportedly entered mass production, with 33 such drones produced so far.

Volunteers are already working on an improved version of this drone, which the manufacturer says can carry 5.5 kg of explosives and has a range of up to 30 kilometers.

“It is possible that it will be used to storm fortified areas. In addition, there is a great demand for the use of the drone as a hunter for armored vehicles, but for this, a series of tests must first be carried out,” the manufacturer said in a statement.

Such a drone costs less than a washing machine, the estimated price of the manufacturer is 110 thousand rubles, which is equivalent to a little more than 1400 dollars.

“Currently, we can produce about 100 drones per month. Thanks to the fact that we use only civilian equipment, we can grow quite quickly, in a few months, and produce several thousand units per month,” the manufacturer of the Privet-82 drone also noted.

Footage from tests of this drone appeared on social networks.
