Lance Reddick, an actor known for his roles in The Wire, The Marriage and the John Wick franchise, has died at the age of 60 of natural causes, The Guardian reports.

His representative confirmed that he died of natural causes at his home in Los Angeles.

Reddick’s most famous role was as police lieutenant Cedric Daniels in the HBO drama.

In a 2019 interview, he called the role “an iconic piece of history” and felt “very happy and proud of the work he did” because the show had a fairly large black cast at a time when television was still dominated white people

He is also set to appear in the John Wick spin-off, Ballerina, opposite Ana de Armas.
