This morning, Mr. Varoufakis was called to the Investigation Division to tell the bailiff about what happened the night he was molested by a group of people who allegedly beat him outside a restaurant where he was dining with party members.

A 19-year-old man who, according to police, was part of the group who attacked and beat the former minister, is expected to appear before the bailiff at noon. The 19-year-old was taken to the investigation department after the deadline he received for his apology on Wednesday.

It is recalled that the attack on Mr. Varoufakis was prosecuted under articles of grievous bodily harm and gang crime, as well as on charges of unlawful violence and illegal possession of weapons. So far, two individuals allegedly involved in the incident against Mr. Varoufakis have been brought to trial.
