OUR Quentin Tarantino returns to the big screen with his new film project.
The popular director who directed some of the most iconic films of modern cinema such as Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill, Inglourious Basterds, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is preparing his last film, according to sources.
According to The Hollywood Reporter’s website, the script that Tarantino wrote and is expected to shoot this fall is called Film Critic.
While no further plot details have been revealed, sources say it is set in late 1970s Los Angeles with the female lead.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film is likely to be dedicated to Pauline Kael, one of the most influential film critics of all time. Kael, who died in 2001, was not only a critic, but also an essayist and writer.
She was known for her constant quarrels with editors and directors. In the late 1970s, Kael worked for a very short time as a consultant for Paramount, a position she accepted at the urging of actor Warren Beatty. Tarantino held Kael in high regard, making her the more likely protagonist of his film.
The writer-director has long stated that he has a set number of films he wants to make in his career, 10 in total, or retire at age 60. He has acted in 9 films (if you count Kill Bill as a movie) and in a few days he will be 60 years old.
