
ABOUT”Lord of the Rings“, an Oscar-winning film trilogy of the early 2000s by director Peter Jacksonreturns to Village Cinemas.
The re-release of the trilogy 20 years after the first film is part of a new multiplex network initiative called “Epic Movie Nights“. Viewers will have the opportunity to watch special screenings of their favorite films in extended versions.
Jackson’s biggest film project – and one of the most expensive productions of recent years – is based on the books of the same name by British writer J.R.R. Tolkien, was a huge box office success ($2.9 billion worldwide) and won a total of 17 Oscars.
It will now be featured in the Vmax Sphera at The Mall Athens with Dolby Atmos sound and 4K picture.
Specifically, the first filmLord of the rings, Brotherhood of the ring» (2001) will be shown from 6 to 12 April. Second part “Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers» (2002) from 13 to 19 April and the third filmThe Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King“(2003), April 27 to May 3.
