Former MP Cristian Bureanu was left without a driver’s license and fined after he was caught drunk driving on DN1, on Vala Prahova. The police stopped him in a traffic jam because he made an irregular overtaking. He asked for blood samples to be taken to determine the blood alcohol content.

The traffic police from Prahov stopped Christian Bureana on Wednesday in the area of ​​the city of Komarnik after he made the wrong overtaking, News.ro reports.

“On the afternoon of March 15 this year, around 5:15 p.m., policemen of the Prahova Road Service, while performing their duties on DN1, in the city of Komarnik, stopped for control a 50-year-old man from the street. Bucharest, which would make an incorrect overtaking maneuver. The driver was checked with a breathalyzer, the result of which was 0.11 mg/l of pure alcohol in exhaled air, later the man asked to take biological blood samples,” – informed representatives of the Prahova district police.

Judicial sources confirmed to News.ro that the driver is former parliamentarian Cristian Bureanu.

He was fined 2175 lei and deprived of his driving license for 150 days.
