Valentyn Iliev did not get along with FCSB and will not train the team sponsored by Gigi Bekali

Sportal.bg journalists announced a few days ago that Valentin Iliev will become the next head coach of the FCSB team.

During his football career, Iliev played one season for the red and blue, and Meme Stoyka was one of those who wanted him on the bench of the vice-champion.

According to the quoted source, Valentyn Iliev gave an interview in which he would confirm that he did not reach a consensus with representatives of the FCSB.

“There is nothing specific to say! They were looking for me, I talked, I presented them with my way of working and my philosophy about playing football. It is clear from the conversation that I need to work with the existing staff.

All due respect to them, but I have my own team of people on whom I completely rely and trust. We have the same vision of football.” – said Valentin Iliev.

FCSB is gearing up for a fiery playoff run.

The formation, currently coached by Lucian Philip and Mihai Pintilius, however, needs a coach with a PRO license.

Elias Charalambous, the favorite to coach FCSB – The goal is the Super League title

With no head coaching options before the playoffs begin, the FCSB is considering the appointment of Elias Charalambous, a former FC Vaslui player from 2012-2013.

He is out of contract from May 2022 and during his coaching career he coached Ethnikos and Doxa Katokopias. He made his debut as a second in AEK Larnaca.
