The OPKE police detained a robber near the house of the leading minister in Spata.
According to ERT, on Friday afternoon (03.10) police officers were on duty at the minister’s house when they noticed a suspicious car in the immediate vicinity of the minister’s house and decided to check it.
A 63-year-old man was driving in the car, who was found to have 24 counterfeit banknotes of 500 euros, as a result of which he was detained on the spot.
It was then established that the detainee was a fugitive because he had a pending conviction for attempted robbery.
In particular, a 63-year-old man broke the lock on a house and broke into the home of an elderly man in Spata, whom he tried to silence with duct tape in order to take money from him. In the end, he could not stand it, hit him on the head with a stick and ran away.
After the arrest of the 63-year-old Greek by the OPKE fighters, a case was initiated against him for the sale of counterfeit coins.
