“In the deciding set, I felt I was playing very well, but it was all in vain. To win a rally, you need to make ten good shots. It is very difficult in these conditions (not with a very slow surface). I can’t agree with that, they tell us that we come here and play hard, but it’s not a hard surface” – Daniil Medvedev.

Daniil will meet Oleksandr Zverev in the 1/8 finals in Indian Wells. The match promises to be very interesting, because the 5th and 12th favorites of the tournament face off in the Californian desert.

“I’m expecting a very interesting match with a lot of long rallies,” Medvedev said of what he thinks will await him against Zverev.

Indian Wells will be held from March 6-19 on hard and 96 players have started in the two main draws. The contest offers $8,800,000 each for men and women. Titled champions – Taylor Fritz and Iga Svyatek.
