The Mandalorian (Season 3)
FANTASY (2023)
Creator: Jon Favreau
InterpretationsCast: Pedro Pascal, Carl Weathers
The series, which many say best captures the true spirit of Star Wars than anything presented in recent decades, is now reaching its third cycle. There we meet again our friend Mando (Pedro Pascal), now reunited with the small but mighty Grog, as the two embark on a perilous journey to redeem the former’s homeland. Along the way, as usual, they will find friends and enemies, some already known to the public, and others new, who will come to complement the characters that the series has presented to us.
The half-hour opening sequence opens with a superbly executed action scene, one of the most impressive we’ve ever seen in The Mandalorian, while keeping the tension high enough throughout the movie. Of course, while this is not necessarily in the spirit of the series, but one reunion with the cute Grog is enough to captivate viewers. As is logical, the expectations that the creators themselves are now cultivating with previous cycles are very high, but so is the quality of the production, which has nothing to envy from such cinematic translations.

THRILLER (2021)
Directed by: Frederik Luis Hvid, Anders Olholm
Interpretations: Jacob Lohmann, Simon Sears, Tarek Zayat
On the Cinobo platform, we choose a Danish film that is a classic full of adventure that is very reminiscent of “Training Day” as well as “Hatred” by Mathieu Kasowitz, while at the same time touching on a modern theme. A young immigrant falls victim to police brutality and ends up in the hospital with serious injuries. When riots break out in the city, a pair of police officers begin their patrol. One is a veteran and outright racist, the other is a younger and tougher professional. The two will find themselves trapped in an immigrant ghetto just as the violence is at its peak and they themselves become mobile prey. They will be joined by a local young man who is likely the “key” to their salvation.
The current problem, with the escalation of police-racist violence across the Atlantic, is seen here from a different perspective – the central characters of the story are the police – in a film that generally prefers tension and kindness. – Filmed action for deep social observation.
