The flyover from Doamna Ghica has started to take shape, especially after all the metal deck elements have been installed. The road should be ready in the summer, with several restrictions and detours currently in place. New drone footage shows the site as a whole.

On the flyover from Doamna Ghica, made by the Metropolitan City Hall, the developer – Metropolitan Buildings Trust – installed the last piece of flooring at the end of February.

Now the last welding works are being carried out, and then the racks are assembled – some of them are brought for construction.

Further, waterproofing is laid at the end and wear resistance begins.

The Mayor of Sector 2, Radu Mihaju, informed that the passage will be ready in the summer, and the movement of tram 21 will resume by the beginning of April.

New images taken from a drone show the progress of the works, what the construction site looks like in general and how the passage between the Colentina blocks is taking shape above one of the busiest intersections in Bucharest.

Work on the transition from Doamna Ghica began in 2018 and was scheduled for completion in May 2020.

Travel is provided by the capital city hall, part of the funds is contributed by the city hall of the 2nd sector.

The road has two lanes in each direction. Its length is 216 m, and the entrances are 96 m.

The cost of design and implementation works is estimated at 110,034,377.95 lei without VAT.
