The President of Ukraine specified that these measures were taken as part of a new series of sanctions imposed on individuals and legal entities “connected with state evil”, and the relevant decree has already been published, writes News.ro.

“We are talking about more than 280 companies and 120 individuals who, through gambling business schemes, worked against Ukraine, withdrew funds from our state and financed various Russian schemes. It took some time to prepare the decision. It was carefully crafted and shuts down schemes worth tens of billions,” said the president, who promised that “this is not the last decision of this kind.”

On the other hand, in his Saturday evening address to his compatriots, President Zelenskyy once again hinted at the counteroffensive that Ukraine is preparing. “Russia has become synonymous with terror and will become an example of defeat and fair punishment, a punishment that the Kremlin cannot stop,” the head of state said.

At the same time, he promised, “Ukraine will defend itself everywhere and by all civilized means.”

Zelenskyi said that he supports all Ukrainian cities and communities “which face brutal terrorist attacks from an evil state every day, every night.”

In this regard, he named the region and the city of Kherson, where three people were killed on Saturday who “simply went to a store to buy groceries,” Zelenskyy said, expressing his condolences. The president also mentioned Zaporizhzhia, the cities of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, “which Russia just wants to burn’, the region and city of Kharkiv, hit by more than 40 missiles in less than two and a half months, Nikopol, Marganets, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy and Chernihiv regions, all within the range of Russian guns. .

“Missiles and artillery, drones and mortars – the evil state uses a variety of weapons with one goal: to destroy life and leave no human traces. Ruins, rubble, holes in the ground are Russia’s self-portrait, which they paint where normal life reigns without Russia,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

In the border areas, the occupiers are shelling villages to intimidate people and drive them away, he said.

So that every evening the president brought out combat units from the front, thanking them for what they are doing. “Thank you to all our fighters in the south, who are destroying the warehouses, logistics and positions of the occupiers. Every undermined enemy position is a saved Ukrainian life,” Zelenskyi said.

He again mentioned Bakhmut and the defense of the city, listing the active brigades there, which, despite the difficult situation, continue to resist the Russian offensive.

“Thank you to everyone who is convincing the world that we need to show more determination right now! Now, when we are preparing active actions against the occupier, so that every shot at Ukrainians is the responsibility of a terrorist state,” Zelenskyy said.
