
A criminal organization involved in the cocaine trade in the Greater Athens area was liquidated by the Sub-Directorate of Narcotics of the Attica Security Directorate.
A 31-year-old citizen, 3 foreigners aged 23, 27 and 34 and a 33-year-old foreigner were arrested in an organized police operation on Tuesday (7/3) in Tavros and Piraeus, accused of creating and joining a criminal organization and violating the Law about drugs. After using information about a criminal organization that was involved in the cocaine trade in the Greater Athens area, after comparing computer data and evidence, the location of the members of the organization was established and their criminal activities were confirmed.
It is a criminal organization with a hierarchical structure and well-defined roles among its members.
In particular, a 27-year-old man, as deputy head, was responsible for purchasing, reprinting, storage, preservation and circulation. In addition, he was responsible for finding customers, collecting profits from other members, and sending money from their sale.
The 33-year-old and 34-year-old were in charge of warehousing, security and handling, while the 34-year-old collected the proceeds from the sale and sent them to a senior employee.
The 23-year-old and the 31-year-old, who had their own transport vehicle, were involved in cocaine trafficking.
As it became known from the preliminary investigation of the above-mentioned Service, more than 800 drug trafficking transactions were certified, which they transported in the hiding places of their official cars and took place during the day. In addition, they used office phones for conversations.
During the search conducted in the houses and vehicles of the defendants, the following was found and seized:
- 54.7 grams of cocaine, packaged in nylon bags,
- electronic precision scale,
- lots of nylon bags,
- 30 euros,
- car and
- 8 mobile phones.
The detainees, against whom criminal proceedings have been initiated, have been brought before the public prosecutor of Plimmeliodiki, Piraeus, while the investigation into the involvement of others continues.
