Environment Minister Tanchos Barna announced that new sessions of the Rabla Classic and Rabla Plus programs will start on March 24. He added that the new Rabla Local program is financed by funds dedicated to greenhouse gases and has an allocated budget of 240 million lei, according to News.ro.
“On March 24, we open the program for Rabla Classic and Rabla Plus. Two programs will benefit from the increased budget. The total budget for the two programs this year is 1.5 billion lei. We also have an allocation for a new program that is also financed from greenhouse gas funds – Rabla Local. This program will be developed and implemented in cooperation with administrative and territorial units, with city halls. In 15 days, we will open registration for town halls in this program,” the minister said.
After clarifying the list of these administrative-territorial units and signing contracts for financing in electronic form, an application for citizens will be opened.
“We have a budget of 240 million lei for this program. The budget will be implemented with a percentage of 20% of the total 100% from local authorities. That is, 2,400 lei will be paid from the budget of the Environmental Fund Office, and 600 lei from the local budget. In this way, the beneficiary will receive a total of 3,000 lei for each car older than 15 years that will be scrapped and recycled,” Tanchos Barna announced at the end of Thursday’s executive committee meeting.
