
Today, Thursday, March 9, nine days have passed since the railway tragedy Pacewhere 57 people died, mostly young people.
While Greek society remains “frozen” and shaken by the aftermath of the accident, on Thursday afternoon the Holy Diocese of Larissa and Tyrnavos – with the blessing of the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece – participates in mourning, performed trisago for the repose of the souls of the dead.


According to onlarissa.gr, the trisagion was celebrated by the Metropolitan of Larissa and Tirnava, Mr. Jerome, as a representative of the Archbishop of Athens and All Hellas, Mr. Jerome, and the Permanent Holy Synod, with the participation of the Metropolitan clergy.
Several people gathered at the scene, and the relatives of the victims laid flowers and left photographs at the scene of the tragedy in a tense mourning atmosphere. Flowers and wreaths were laid by representatives of the fire department.
