A 36-year-old man was arrested by police in Thessaloniki as the man is accused of having sex with a 9-year-old boy and gave him cannabis as a “reward”.

The actions apparently took place in March 2021 in Evosmos and were reported to the police when the minor (today aged 11) confessed to his mother what had happened. As part of the preliminary police investigation, the minor was examined by a child psychologist, who confirmed his complaint.

According to what has come to light, the victim is the nephew of the (former) partner of a 36-year-old man (originally from Pakistan), and due to this family relationship, he often went in and out of his aunt’s house. All this time, the accused was missing. In the meantime, he was already on the wanted list for his involvement in the illegal immigrant trafficking case, having been sentenced by the Thessaloniki Criminal Court of Appeal to many years in prison. However, he failed to appear at the trial and was judged by a trustee.

After all, in the previous 24 hours, he had been discovered by police from the Ampelokipi-Menemeni department, who handcuffed him. He was detained both for the case with a minor, for which he was sent for an apology to the investigator in Thessaloniki, and for the sentence, which – in any case – he will have to serve.
