Marcel Ciolacu says that “no matter what happens”, Gabriela Firea will be the PSD candidate for Bucharest mayor’s office.

“Gabriela Firea, no matter what happens, is a PSD candidate for the capital’s mayor’s office. (…) Nikusor Dan is a smart person, but administration is not for everyone. You saw what these new people did, also in Brasov. At that moment, these new people couldn’t cope,” said Marcel Čolaku on Romanian television, answering a question about whether he himself would run for the position of mayor of the capital.

Marcel Cholaku announced the candidacy of Gabriela Firea last October.

On September 7, 2022, Gabriela Firea said that she does not want to run for president and would like to run for the mayor’s office, but she understands that certain games are being played, because there must always be conflicts.
