
On Sunday, TAE Mylopotamos police proceeded to arrest a 23-year-old man for drugs and weapons in the municipality area of Anoia.
During the ensuing search, a total of more than 300 grams of marijuana, a precision scale, a pistol with magazines, a shotgun and cartridges were found and seized.
More than 20,000 euros were also confiscated as proceeds of illegal activities.
A 23-year-old man was arrested on Sunday afternoon in the area of the municipality of Anoii by members of the Mylopotamos Police Operations Department, who stopped him for checks while he was driving his car. A small amount of cannabis was found on him, but a search that followed at his home in the Heraklion area “brought a catch” for the police.
In particular, in the course of the investigation, in total, the following were discovered and seized:
- 326 grams of hemp,
- trace amounts of cocaine,
- electronic precision scale,
- gun,
- shotgun,
- 2 pistol magazines
- 42 cartridges of various types and calibers
- mobile phone
In addition, an amount of EUR 20,425 and USD 347 was seized as proceeds of illegal activities.
The preliminary investigation is being carried out by the Rethymnon Security Sub-Directorate’s Narcotics Division.
