
A 40-year-old man, who was detained after a police operation near Volos, hid four packages with two kilograms of heroin behind the dashboard of a car.
This is a man of Albanian origin, who is accused of participating in drug trafficking and brought to the competent prosecutor’s office. From the same “crypt” the police seized the fifth package with 51 grams of cocaine.
The detainee was said to have received drugs from Athens with the intention of smuggling them to Volos and Thessaloniki, where they were to be sold. The police appeared to have route information and on Thursday afternoon (02/03) a car with a 40-year-old driver crashed into a “block” in New Pagases in Magnesia.
The case was solved by the Department of General Affairs of the Security Directorate of Thessaloniki, and police officers from various departments of Volos participated in the arrest.
