With a letter to “K”, his artistic director Art Theater “Karolos Koun” Marianna Kalbari makes it clear that he does not share his position Yannis Lignadis about what happened recently in the theatrical studio of the theater and notes that after his letter “he cannot continue to work in the theater studio of the Art Theatre.”

“My only concern is to protect and support the Art Theater with all my might,” emphasizes Ms. Kalbari.

“I find it almost inappropriate, when the whole country is mourning the victims of the unimaginable accident at Tempe, to talk about such things.

But since I must immediately take a position on the letter of Mr. Yiannis Lignadis dated 01/03/23 in the newspaper “Kathimerini”:

I take it for granted that I do not share his position. I also take it for granted that after this letter, Mr. Yiannis Lignadis cannot continue to work at the School of Drama of the Art Theatre. My only concern is to protect and support with all my might the Art Theatre, all its partners and employees.

Otherwise, at this moment my thoughts, like all thoughts, are only about the tragic event.
