The difficult situation is in the hospitals of Larisa, where most of the injured were taken after the collision of two trains late on Tuesday in Tempi.

In particular, 29 wounded are being treated at the Larisa University Hospital and 20 wounded at the Larisa General Hospital.

“Nineteen victims are being treated in the surgical department, three in the orthopedic department and three in the neurosurgical clinic of the hospital. There are 4 patients in the intensive care unit. The situation here is manageable, but I think that the picture is more painful in the Larisa multidisciplinary hospital, where the bodies were transferred and they are being examined, since there is a forensic medical examination service there,” said Dimitris Katsikonuris, the commander of the Larisa PGN, tells K. .

At the same time, the situation in the multidisciplinary hospital in Larisa, according to the doctors on duty, is tragic. There, 20 people injured in the collision of two trains in Tempi are being treated, and 2 more people are in critical condition in the intensive care unit.

“Unfortunately, we are facing unprecedented situations at the National University of Larisa. We’ve been here since the evening, until 36 people died. Relatives of the victims gathered in the hospital and the process of identifying the bodies has recently begun. For those who cannot be identified, a DNA test will be done,” Efi Hita, president of the Larisa Multidisciplinary Hospital, told K, who estimated that the number of hospitalized patients will increase in the coming hours.

According to confirmed information, out of 6 hospitalized in intensive care in Larisa hospitals, at least three are under 25 years old.

As for the rest of the hospitals, the General Hospital of Thessaloniki “G. Hospital “Gennimatas”, 4 people are hospitalized, 11 are hospitalized in AHEPA and 2 patients are hospitalized in Katerini General Hospital.
