“Georgina didn’t have any problems,” a third doctor from the Karamandane hospital in Patras, where 34-year-old Georgina was taken, testified at Rula Pispirigo’s trial before the Defense Ministry, saying she had convulsions.

Pediatrician Athanasios Filias, A”s caretaker during the disputed period, told the court that he took over the care of the girl immediately after her admission to the Hospital, on April 8, 2021, and that both at this stage and after the tests were performed, there was nothing to worry about not detected. He also emphasized that the examinations carried out did not reveal the convulsions described by the mother. He also said arrangements had been made for tests and visits by Georgina to a neurologist and a cardiologist.

As Mr. Filias said the next day, and since the tests did not reveal any pathological abnormalities, the 34-year-old man was told that the child could be discharged. However, since the mother said that Georgina was vomiting, they did not leave the hospital to monitor her condition.

“I didn’t see any vomiting. I was the vicar on Saturday and we walked past the room in the morning. The baby was lying and working on the tablet. I examined the baby, we checked her stomach, and I asked her if she wanted to eat. She said yes, and we started to feed.In the afternoon during the afternoon visit there were no problems, the baby did not complain and ate.We did an ultrasound and found nothing, just non-specific findings that are often seen in children who have a baby with abdominal pain. On Saturday afternoon, the child was fine, eating little. On Saturday evening, I was informed that the child woke up in his sleep and had abdominal pains with a tendency to vomit, salivate and cough. He was oxygen deficient. He was put on oxygen and it immediately went up to 98%. We gave her inhalers and the cough went away. We gave antibiotics.” The witness indicated that Georgina did not have a fever higher than expected because she was given antibiotics.
