In the video that appeared on social networks, you can see how new Russian armored vehicles are being destroyed in the battles around the city of Vugledar in the Donetsk region, where Moscow’s military equipment suffered a real disaster the other day.
The footage shows the BMP-2 passing through the same minefield through which several Russian tanks and armored vehicles tried unsuccessfully. In addition, the video shows an armored car trying to drive right through another destroyed combat vehicle of the Russian army.
#Ukraine: Another Russian BMP-2 was destroyed by Ukrainian troops at the infamous Mykilske checkpoint near Vugledar, #Donetsk The area is apparently due to hitting an anti-tank mine and being wounded by an anti-tank missile. pic.twitter.com/twvYwl3T84

He runs into a mine, immediately catching fire from a loud explosion, and soon gets hit by an anti-tank gun of Ukrainian gunners. It is noteworthy that neither of the two explosions disabled the armored vehicle, which entered service with the Russian armed forces in the 1980s.
But the third shot, caught at the second 00:39 entry, gives him the edge. After running a few tens of meters, the car suddenly stops, the footage taken from the drone is stored for several minutes on the armored car after that moment.
It is not entirely clear whether all of the Russian servicemen in the military vehicle were killed in consecutive hits, but the sequence seems to suggest so.
The disaster of the Russian army near Vugledar
Numerous photos and videos published on social networks in recent days have shown an incredible disaster for Moscow’s military command: the fields around Vugledar are littered with Russian military equipment destroyed by mines and Ukrainian forces.
The video, analyzed by an analyst of the OSINT community, showed that almost 100 units of armored vehicles entered the battle there, which were destroyed by the Ukrainian military.
Britain’s Ministry of Defense said in an assessment on Saturday that Moscow’s elite forces had been destroyed here, and that images that appeared online showed concentrated losses of Russian equipment in the Vugledar sector.
“These vehicles are believed to be part of Russia’s 155th Marine (NI) Brigade, which has been at the forefront of recent offensives that have cost the Russians dearly,” the London-based Ministry of Defense said on Saturday morning.
According to published explanations, the NI is considered an elite infantry force in the Russian army and, unlike the equally prestigious Airborne Infantry (VDV), the NI was not deployed as a single large formation in Ukraine.
Instead, individual units were attached to force groups dominated by the Ground Forces.
“As such, NI was tasked with some of the most difficult tactical missions of the war and suffered extremely heavy casualties. The perceived overwhelming capability of the NI brigades is now almost certainly significantly degraded as it is supplemented by inexperienced mobilized personnel,” said a British assessment two days ago.
