“Fubar”, the first series with Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger, will be released on the Netflix streaming platform on May 25, according to the American magazine Variety, cited by Agrepres.

Netflix released the first trailer for the series on Monday Fubar, which is an action comedy.

“Everywhere I go, people ask me when I’m going to do another big comedy like True Lies. Well, here it is! “Fubar” will knock you on your back and make you laugh – and not just for two hours. You’ll have a whole season,” said Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Fubar shows what happens when a father and his daughter discover that their entire relationship was based on lies and that they are both CIA agents.

When they join forces, this series touches on family dynamics with humor, action scenes, and of course, spies.

In the trailer released on Monday, Arnold Schwarzenegger can be seen lighting a cigar, riding a motorcycle and walking away from a burning dumpster.

This production is the first series featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger, former governor of the state of California, bodybuilder and action star, filmed for the big screen.

The cast also includes actors Monica Barbaro, Jay Baruchel, Fortune Feimster, Milan Carter, Travis Van Winkle, Gabriel Luna, Andy Buckley, Aparna Brielle, Barbara Eva Harris and Fabiana Udenio.

Arnold Schwarzenegger also serves as an executive producer along with series creator and showrunner Nick Santora, known for television productions such as The most dangerous game and Escape from prison.

Fubar will be a limited series on Netflix, which is planned to consist of 8 episodes.

Netflix was certainly looking for an image hit by convincing Schwarzenegger to star in the series, after the US streaming company has seen big names such as Henry Cavill or Mike Flanagan leave for rivals in recent months.

The announcement that “Arnie” is coming to Netflix comes after one of his Hollywood counterparts, Sylvester Stallone, recently starred in the premiere of his own series. Stallone can be seen in the series King of Tulsawhich is broadcast by the streaming platform SkyShowtime in Romania.
