A Thai drug dealer underwent several facial cosmetic surgeries to look like a “handsome Korean” and evade the law, local authorities said, according to the BBC.
Saharat Sawangjeong, also known as Song Jimin, was caught last week in an apartment in Bangkok. The police, who were looking for the 25-year-old man for three months, reported that “nothing remained of his original face.”
Agents tracked him down by tracking the distribution of ecstasy to other sellers and buyers in Bangkok.
Witnesses described him to police as a “handsome Korean.” He also changed his name to Korean.
In a video released by police, Saharat says he wants to move to South Korea: “I want to start a new life. I’m sick of Thailand,” says the trafficker.

Saharat was accused of drug trafficking. He admitted to ordering MDMA (ecstasy) from the dark web using cryptocurrency.
He had been arrested at least three times in previous years. He was once arrested on an assault charge, but police found him in possession of 290 ecstasy pills and 2kg of liquid drugs.
He managed to avoid arrest and at one point underwent major surgery to avoid investigation.
“He is a drug lord who imports MDMA from Europe, he is only 25 years old. We believe that there are more suspects in other countries. We will continue our investigation,” said the Thai police chief. (source news.ro) (photo source Dreamstime)
