The military situation in the south of Ukraine is quite dangerous in some places, while the conditions in the east are very difficult, President Volodymyr Zelenskyi said in a video message on Friday morning, Reuters reports.
Zelensky, speaking on the anniversary of the Russian invasion, said pro-Moscow forces had bombed the southern city of Kherson again, this time cutting off heat for 40,000 people.
“As for the south, the situation is quite dangerous in some places, but our troops have the means to respond to the occupiers,” he said, summarizing the events on various fronts.
“In the east it is very difficult, it hurts. But we are doing everything to resist,” he continued, referring to the repeated attacks by Russian troops who are trying to capture the eastern regions of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
Zelenskyi said that repair work in Kherson, which is bombed every day, will continue until the heat is restored.
“And we will rebuild. Whatever these Russian terrorists and scoundrels do, we will rebuild and restore everything,” he said.
