Seizure of movable and immovable property against a well-known TV producer and host by order of the head of the Office for Combating Money Laundering, Honorary Deputy Prosecutor Supreme CourtCharalambos Vourliotis, who, in his multi-page opinion, includes findings of extensive criminal activity.
According to the information, as a result of the investigation of the Directorate, as indicated in the conclusion of Vourliotis, there was evidence of systematic money laundering in Greece and abroad, with seven other people allegedly involved in addition to the well-known TV producer. A total of 13 companies were identified and verified.
The findings of the FDA’s investigation of criminal interest led Mr. Vourliotis to carry out a general confiscation of mobile phones and the property of a well-known television producer, as well as seven other individuals.
According to the FDA’s investigation, the TV producer appears to owe the state about 22 million euros in taxes and other things.
However, in addition to the pledge of assets, about which all credit institutions have already been notified, X. Vourliotis sent his 80-page opinion to the financial prosecutor’s office, from which he asks to initiate a criminal case against the TV producer and the other seven for fraud against the state, tax evasion, the creation of a criminal organization , money laundering, and other persons involved in illegal actions are already being sought.
It is worth noting that just a few days before the decision of Vourliotis, the public approved 10 million euros in assistance to a controlled, and now also a criminal producer, but in the end it was not given.
