A man who has dedicated his life to Greece, Kevin Featherstone, Professor of Modern Greek Studies and European Politics at the London School of Economics, Chair of the Eleftherios Venizelos Department, has received honorary Greek citizenship. He took the oath of Greek citizenship in a ceremony at the Maximos Palace in the presence of Kyriakos Mitsotakis and in front of the General Secretary for Citizenship, Athanasios Balerbas. Kevin Featherstone runs the Hellenic Observatory, internationally recognized as one of the leading centers of contemporary Greece and Cyprus. His academic research focuses on the European Union and contemporary Greece in the fields of comparative politics, public policy and political economy. He was the first non-Greek member of the National Council for Research and Technology in Greece from 2010 to 2013.
