Alter ego: Nemesis
POLICE THRILLER (2023)
Creator: Sotiris Cafoulias
Interpretations: Pygmalion Dadakaridis, Petros Lagoutis, Marianne Tumasatu
A story that began seven years ago as a feature film and continued as a successful Cosmote TV television series is reaching its third and final cycle. After the tragic events of the previous season, forensic science professor Linis (P. Dadacaridis) mourns the death of his beloved, locked at home, and “Reptile” remains missing. Meanwhile, a homicide unit with a new boss (M. Tumasatou) deals with an explosion at a funeral home that leaves an unidentified corpse.
Sotiris Tzafoulias seems determined to complete what he started years ago while staying true to the recipe that brought him here. After watching the first two episodes, we see that this series, perhaps more than the previous ones, takes its time, on the contrary, it takes time to set the stage and introduce its (many) new characters. The latter are performed by well-known actors such as Giannis Bezos, Marianne Tumasatou, Spyros Bibilas, Antinoos Albanis, Michalis Yatropoulos, etc., in an overall neat production with special attention to dialogue parts. They are far-fetched in some moments, but in others they work perfectly, and in combination with twists they are able to keep the viewer until the very end.

POLICE THRILLER (2021)
Directed by: Dominic Moll
InterpretationsCast: Bastian Muyon, Bouli Laner
On the Cinobo platform, we have selected Dominic Moll’s recent police thriller, which also attempts to comment on the police approach to women’s murder cases in an interesting way.
Clara, a young lady, is brutally murdered one night while returning home. The case is taken on by the young and ambitious head of the forensic department, Johan Vivet, who plunges headlong into the case, having an experienced colleague nearby. However, as the interrogations go on and the number of suspects multiplies, a desperate realization comes to the policeman: almost all of them could have killed Clara. As we have said, the most visible element here has to do with the police officers themselves. In the vast majority of men, it is difficult for them to approach the motives and reasoning of the criminal and, therefore, to solve the case. As is usually the case in such cases, the situation will get out of hand, and the infighting between them will bring even more confusion.
