Patrushev noted that the deepening of Russian-Chinese coordination on the international arena is particularly important, RIA news agency reports. At the same time, the Russian official emphasized that the development of strategic partnership with China is an “unconditional priority” of Russian foreign policy.

“Relations between the Russian Federation and China are valuable in themselves and do not depend on external circumstances,” Patrushev also said, as quoted by the TASS agency.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi will also meet with his Russian counterpart, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, in Moscow on Wednesday, TASS reports. This is also the first visit to Russia by China’s top diplomat since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

It will be recalled that Beijing refused to condemn Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
