Damon visited a German city for the world premiere of the new documentary “kiss to the future“, in which he is a producer. The film tells about the struggle of the people of Sarajevo during the war in Bosnia.

When asked if he was preparing something similar to Penn’s documentary “Superpower”, which focuses on the war with Ukraine, Damon said that “I, like everyone else, watched in horror what happened in the country last year” and although “there is nothing concrete yet, there is no doubt that a film is being made ..

He added: “Actually, I have someone researching this story, but the project is still in its early stages.” The actor, among other things, said that he had not yet met Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, but “I had the opportunity to meet him and his wife in New York and at the UN General Assembly.”

Damon also discussed films being made about events in Ukraine. “I think there are a lot of great films on this subject and I’m sure there will be even more film projects in the coming years. However, there is no overarching strategy to produce more political documentaries every day. I can help and give my energy to issues that I believe in.
