The fastest modernization of the two national ski centers Vasilitsa and Celio will be included in the bill, which will be submitted to Parliament on Tuesday.

The goal is to carry out studies and tender procedures without delay for the necessary modernization projects and the use of the two national ski centers. Deputy Sports Minister Lefteris Avgenakis approved the decision to entrust the relevant studies and tenders to the Public-Private Property Development Foundation (TAIPED).

TAIPED, with which the Deputy of the Ministry of Sports cooperates in other projects, will assist in studies and in relevant competitions, without being affected in any way by the property status of the Greek state and the form of legal entities (public law) that manage the Vasilitsa and Celio National Ski Centers.

The whole arrangement is as follows:
“Instruction of the tender to the Fund for the Use of State Private Property for the use of legal entities of public law with the names “NATIONAL SKI CENTER VASILICA” and “NATIONAL SKI CENTER SELIOU”
By way of derogation from Law 3986/2011 (A’152) on the transfer of state assets to the State SA Private Property Development Fund (TAIPD), may, by joint decision of the Minister of Finance and the Minister of Sports:
a) be appointed by TAIPE.D. holding a tender on behalf of the Greek state for the use of facilities managed by a legal entity of public law (npdd) with the name ETHNIKO HIONODROMIKO KENTRO VASILITSAS and npdd with the name SELIOU NATIONAL SKI SKI CENTER,
b) determine the basic conditions for cooperation between T.A.I.P.E.D. and the Greek state for the implementation of the above competition and
c) to regulate any other matter for the implementation of this.
The same decision determines the operating costs and administrative costs of T.A.I.P.E.D. for the competition of the first paragraph, which is carried by the Greek state, and the method of their coverage is determined.
In case of competition of the first paragraph, the procedure of Law 3986/2011 shall apply proportionately, with the exception of Article 1 § 2 and Article 5a of this Law.
The contract concluded following the results of the competition is signed by the Minister of Finance and the Minister responsible for sports.”
