Celin Ignat did not shine at a high level in Romanian football, but he has dozens of matches in the lower leagues. Now he is appreciated at the European level thanks to the beer he produced, named after his labrador Noah.

Kelin Ignat, 39 years old, started his football history in Tg. Mures. First in the junior team, then in the senior team, but relegation in the summer of 2002 poured into his boots. He arrived at Reghin, in “C”, then to Industria Sârmei Câmpia Turzii, in “B”.

“I remember, after training, Romika Gabor was hanging on the fence and said to me: ‘Ignat, come on, we’re late for beer!'” The end was in Regina, after an accident: “A drunk guy with a cart and a horse ran over me, I was thrown into a ditch. Then I gave up!”.

Because football and beer have something in common, Călin has now become one of the most famous and valuable producers of craft beer.
