Sam Altman, chief executive of OpenAI, ChatGPT, warned that the world might not be that far from “potentially terrifying” artificial intelligence and said it was critical to create a regulatory framework.
In a series of tweets on Sunday, Altman said the transition to the future of AI is “mostly good” and could happen quickly — much like it did when smartphones first came out.
However, he warned that society needs time to adjust to “something this big”.
“We need enough time for our institutions to understand what they have to do. The adjustment will be critical and will take time. While the AI tools of today’s generation aren’t all that scary, I think we’re not that far off,” he tweeted.
we also need enough time for our institutions to figure out what to do. regulation will be critical and take time to figure out? while current generation AI tools aren’t very scary, I think we’re potentially not that far from potentially scary.

He noted that the challenge now is “to keep people from going crazy when they talk to a chatbot, even if they know what’s really going on.”
Essentially, Altman is referring to the answers provided last week by Microsoft’s artificial intelligence app Bing.
For his part, Elon Musk — co-founder of OpenAI along with Altman — said last Wednesday that artificial intelligence has a lot of potential — both positive and negative. That is why, as he pointed out, reforms are needed.
adapting to a world deeply integrated with AI tools is likely to happen fairly quickly? benefits (and fun!) have too many benefits.

“I think we need to regulate the AI security system,” Musk said, according to CNBC, adding that AI is currently one of the biggest risks to humanity.
