The sisters of the late Tsar Constantine, Sophia and Irina, were the first to arrive shortly before 11 a.m., the memorial service. They were soon followed by his wife Anna-Maria and their children Alexia, Pavlos, Nikolaos, Philippos and Theodora after their wives.
Also present were several Greeks, close friends, former classmates of the former king, businessmen and politicians.
After the commemoration, the family of the former tsar stood on the steps of the metropolis and greeted the people.
According to the program, the Stavros Niarchos Foundation will have coffee and light snacks, and tomorrow trisaio will be celebrated in Tatoi, where the opening of the tomb will also take place.
