The aim is to restore the club’s glory “both on and off the pitch”, according to a related press release quoted by News.ro.
Investments in football teams, a training base, a stadium and general infrastructure are foreseen.
The amount has not been announced, but the international press reports that it will amount to 4.5 billion euros.
In November 2022, the Glazer family, who have owned the club since 2005, announced their intention to sell the English group.
Among those interested in buying the club are Ineos, Saudi funds and billionaire Elon Musk.
