Under the leadership of coach Julian Pecioianu, Mihai Christian Tentea and Ciprian Nicolae Daroci won the gold medal for the Romanian delegation at the European Championships in Winterberg (Germany).
In a race with 23 other crews, the Romanians went down in two heats without any problems and finished in first place with a time of one minute, 55 seconds and 8 hundredths.
Germany closed the podium, followed by Poland.
“At the moment, both Ciprian and I are very happy with this result. We are experiencing indescribable emotions, especially since we won the continental gold in Germany, practically on their court.
For us, this title is a confirmation of our work and gives us hope for the future.
We had a more difficult season due to some small injuries and we are very proud that today we managed to win the competition and at the same time show the best time at the start. – said Mihai Christian Tentea, reports news.ro.
Another Romanian crew of Andrej Nitsa and Mihai Kalanch finished in 9th place.
