The bombed-out landscape was reminiscent of Ladadika in Thessaloniki at dawn on Friday, after the Tsiknopepti celebrations and the large gathering of people.
As you can see in the photos of thesstoday.gr, central places such as Morihov Square, Agiptu and Katun, where a big party was organized since yesterday, attended by thousands of residents, young and old carnival lovers, were filled with bottles, plastic cups, papers and packages, as the celebration was in full swing until the morning.
As the crowd dwindled after midnight, the more “catastrophic” seemed the picture of the amount of garbage accumulated in the pedestrian streets and in the square.
It is noted that from noon on Tsiknopepti and taking over the baton until the evening, as well as in the early hours, young and old participated in the festivities arranged in Ladadika, with grills, drinks, band music and dancing.
By evening, youth groups and students were crowded, many in carnival costumes, catering establishments were packed with people, and long queues formed outside, where inseparability reigned.
