Until then, according to Mr. Moskhos, “it is reasonable that the occupation of the students of the National Theater School will continue. However, it looks like a solution will be found.”

“To bring together opinions on many issues,” Mr. Peltekis also said on the occasion of the meeting, “which shows that the voice of artists is heard and taken into account.” He highlighted the topic of maximizing arts education and the government’s commitment to establishing a Higher School of Performing Arts. To this end, as is already known, interdepartmental working groups have been created, which by the end of March will present a specific framework for the nature of the school and its mode of operation from 2025. School of Performing Arts, she will evaluate the possibility of admission with examinations of graduates of other related schools, private and public, according to “K”.

An agreement was also voiced on the presence of horizontal academic permeability, i.e. about the possibility of admission of graduates of theater and related schools – especially conservatories left without a certificate – with the passing of qualifying exams in the third semester of university departments.

For his part, the president of POTHA Kostas Kehadzhioglu reported this to K. that they have resubmitted their requests “regarding the diplomas of theater, music, dance and cinema” and expect to study the content of the decision. In the meantime, they continue their mobilizations according to the program they have announced. On Friday, they will submit a request to the State Council to cancel the DP. 85/2022, and on the same day they went on a 24-hour strike.
