The School Inspectorate of Bacău County (IȘJ) has decided to dismiss the director of the technological high school “Dumitru Mangeron” from the municipality of Bacău, where a 15-year-old student grabbed, beat and humiliated two of his colleagues, the facts take place in one of the bathrooms of the education block and are filmed. During an internal investigation, IŞJ representatives found “at least seven situations of bullying”, some of which were not reported by school management, and concluded that they took place in the context of “deficient management action, with procedural gaps that allowed students to be exposed to bullying and violence “.

According to a press release published by the School Inspectorate of Bacau County and cited by News.ro, an investigation carried out at Mangeron High School revealed the existence of at least seven situations of bullying and violence between students since October 2022, facts known to the school. management of the educational unit, some not transferred to ISJ Bacău. Inspections by school inspectors also revealed “management deficiencies regarding the absence, respectively incomplete or incorrect registration of school documents; ineffective coordination of school activities; which allows the creation of a dangerous climate for students:

An internal investigation also found that the high school principal did not make resolving the conflict a priority, nor did she intervene to protect students with special educational needs.

“Taking into account the seriousness of the findings, today, 10/02/2023, the Administrative Board of the School Inspectorate of Bacău County voted to dismiss the director of the Bacău Technological School named after Dumitru Mangeron. This decision comes from a flawed administrative act with procedural loopholes that allowed students to be bullied and abused,” IŞJ Bacău said.

The inspection at the high school came after a 15-year-old student was previously arrested last month for illegal detention and beating or other violence against two of his classmates, who are classified as having special educational needs.

The police were notified ex officio after the journalists of Ziarul de Bacău wrote that several students of “Dumitru Mangeron” college from Bacău attacked two colleagues. One of the aggressors hit him in the face, forced him to kneel in front of him, kiss his hand and put one of the attacked boys headfirst into the toilet.

In the images, the two boys can be seen being forced into the bathroom, although they are resisting.

The incident took place, according to the School Inspectorate of Bacau County, on January 26 and was not an isolated one, the aggressor was accused of having previously shown inappropriate behavior towards his colleagues, and he received a penalty of a grade reduction and a warning.

The actions of the young bully gained publicity after the grandfather of one of the students posted a video of aggression against two students on Facebook.
