
Liberal member of the European Parliament Siegfried Muresan signed on Thursday evening that the European Union continues to support the Republic of Moldova. “With the help of the EU, Moldova is covering its costs with electricity bills this winter,” the MEP said, according to News.ro.
“While Russia is blackmailing the Republic of Moldova with gas supplies, the European Union is helping it. This winter, with the help of the EU, Moldova is covering its costs with electricity. And we will continue to support the Republic of Moldova,” wrote Siegfried Muresan on Facebook on Thursday evening.
He stated that the European Parliament will support all proposals to increase European aid to the Republic of Moldova and its citizens.
“The Republic of Moldova is a candidate state for joining the European Union and has demonstrated that it deserves all the support we can offer in the next period. I spoke about all this this week in Brussels with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova Natalia Havrilica, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Nika Popescu, the Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development Andrii Spinu and other representatives of the government of the Republic of Moldova,” Muresan also conveyed.
