Strong winds are blowing snow and reducing visibility, especially in the flat part of Buzeu county. Several national and county roads were closed and authorities imposed tonnage restrictions.

According to representatives of the Buzău prefecture, there was no traffic on DN 22 Râmnicu Sărat, the border with Braila county, on Wednesday morning. The road was closed from Saturday into Tuesday afternoon, was reopened for a few hours, and now restrictions are back in place for all vehicles. A strong wind and a snowstorm is blowing in this area, which prevents the work of tourists, writes news.ro.

In addition, starting at 9:30 am, traffic was restricted on DN 2B, Buzău – the border with Braila county for vehicles with a maximum authorized weight of more than 7.5 tons.

Due to increased wind, blizzards in the area, reducing visibility and the formation of snow dunes on the road, from 09.15 a full traffic restriction has also been imposed on DJ203A Rubla – Gergeas.

Starting at 9:45 am, DN 2C, Buzeu – border with Jalomica county, was also restricted to vehicles weighing more than 3.5 tonnes.
