
Dramatic footage continues to emerge of rescue missions following the devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria on Monday and was followed by hundreds of aftershocks. In Syria, rescuers managed to pull out alive a little girl who had been lying under the rubble for more than 40 hours.
“A miracle again… a little girl was rescued after more than 40 hours under the rubble of her home in the town of Salkin in Idlib,” the White Helmets said in a statement on Twitter. .

At least 8,764 people have been killed in the 7.8 magnitude earthquake and hundreds of aftershocks in Turkey and Syria, according to the latest figures, with the death toll rising by around 900, according to Sky News.
The organization “White Helmets” announced more than 1,280 dead in rebel-held areas of Syria, and another 2,600 were injured. In government-controlled areas, the death toll has risen to 1,250, the Syrian health minister said.
